'Ik begrijp het verdriet en de boosheid en de roep naar een onafhankelijk onderzoek. In deze situatie is het gebruikelijk en passend dat de Rijksrecherche kritisch en onafhankelijk onderzoek doet naar het overlijden van het slachtoffer én naar het optreden van de agenten’, zegt Paul Entken, plaatsvervangend politiechef  van de eenheid van Den Haag. ‘Er zijn veel vragen die beantwoord moeten. Uiteraard verlenen we alle medewerking aan het onderzoek. Het is alle partijen er aan gelegen, dat dit onderzoek snel, objectief en zorgvuldig gedaan wordt.'
